Measles outbreak in California has not come to halt, with one more case being confirmed. It has spread to 10 counties, 7 states and Mexico, though it is in premature stage as confirmed by Public Health Officials. With medicine, vaccinations and quarantine been made available, officials are leaving no stone unturned.

The second case of measles was confirmed in High School Campus, while the first involved a school baseball coach, bringing the county’s total to 28 and the statewide total to 92 cases, according to the California Department of Public Health.

"This may be an indication that the outbreak is slowing, but outbreaks of measles and other infectious disease are unpredictable in their course," said state epidemiologist Dr. Gil Chavez.

But, he said, fewer confirmed cases "is always preferable."

The district confirmed about the first measles case on Saturday. In recent weeks it has sent out communications encouraging the families to vaccinate their children. The schools have been closed till Thursday and is tentatively planned to open from Friday. Number of centers has been established for the same. Parents of kindergarten and school children are showing more interest for vaccination, while 7% of school waiver are not availing this due to personal belief.
