North Korean leader Kim Jong Un landed in Russia on Tuesday to have a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Their meeting has raised concerns over the arms deal for Russia's war with Ukraine.
Kim boarded in Russia in a special personal train along with some of the country's ruling party, government and military leaders.
According to sources, North Korea has tens of millions of artillery shells and rockets based on Soviet designs. This will be a big boost for the Russian army in their war against Ukraine. As vice versa, Kim also needed food aid from Russia. Japan is cleanly watching the Putin-Kim meeting and expecting that won't create an impact on any.
Kim has invited Putin to visit the DPRK at his convenient time and Putin accepted the request of Kim, according to the KCNA news agency. Both leaders are carrying forward the tradition and friendship between Russia and DPRK.
Kim said that he was sure that Russia would have a great victory over its enemies, according to DC. As part of strengthening their friendship, they are having discussions over military cooperation.
The US State Department is far against their meet and policies. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that this would cause quite trouble and would potentially violate multiple UN Security Council resolutions. They also said that Russia is buying ammunition from North Korea to use in Ukraine. The US government has released a warning to both countries over their arms deals. Willer also cleared that they will not hesitate to impose any sort of sanctions if and when it's appropriate.
