Former F1 racer Michael Schumacher will finally get to move, speak and see the light of the day again!

The racing legend, who has been lying comatosed for over a month now at the Grenoble hospital in southern France, is being gradually eased out of this medically orchestrated stupor, exactly a month after his crash, his agent revealed.

The 45-year-old Formula hit a rock and injured his head during a bad fall while skiing off-piste at the French resort of Meribel on December 29. He had to be put in an induced coma, despite his condition being stable then, following a slew of surgeries.

"Michael's sedation is being reduced in order to allow the start of the waking up process which may take a long time. Schumacher was being kept artificially sedated and his body temperature was lowered to between 34 and 35 degrees Celsius (93.2 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit), to reduce swelling in the brain, reduce its energy consumption and allow it to rest,” Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, said in a statement.

Although the first 24 hours of this waking up phase is going to be extremely crucial, Schumi seems to be responding well to all the instructions. He has undergone a wad of neurological tests already and has also blinked his eyes. This neurological reflexes are sure signs of the racer's good recovery.
