
Father arrested in the suspicion of killing the missing 5-year-old son, who has been missing for two months. Father was arrested on Friday afternoon in the Las Vegas on the suspicion of his son's murder, said the authorities.
The Los Angeles County sheriff's said in a statement that 35-yera-old Aramazd Andressian Sr., has been arrested in coordination with the authorities in Las Vegas and was also being held there on the bail of $10 million.
Sheriff's investigators have presented evidence to the LA County prosecutors, who deemed it is sufficient to arrest Andressian, said the statement.
But the police department would give no more further details on what the evidence was, or what Andressian was doing in the Nevada.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff's department, Nicole Nishida has declined to comment on what evidence led to the Andressian's arrest. A news conference is scheduled on Monday.
A message left seeking the comment from Andressian's attorney and was not immediately returned.
Investigators have been in search of the 5-year-old Aramazd Andressian Jr. since his father has been found passed out in a large park in the South Pasadena on 22nd April. Sheriff's officials said that the father had taken prescription pills and also was found in a car which was doused in gasoline.
The father has been initially arrested on the suspicion of child endangerment, but later he was released.
Authorities said that the boy was last seen on 20th April with his father, leaving to Disneyland in the Anaheim.
The Sheriff's Department was mostly silent on the case since serving the search warrant at the home of Andressian Sr.'s mother nearly a month ago.
Investigators have combed Arroyo Seco Park in the South Pasadena where the father has been found several times during the past few months, using the dogs and drones in order to help in the search.
The boy's mother has publicly pleaded for the safe return.
"To my son, this message is for you my love: be brave, honey. I am counting the days until I see you honey and I will never stop looking for you," Ana Estevez said in tears on 18th May.
