A Pedestrian killed by Hit-and-run driver in the South Los Angeles intersection. Authorities said that, the 69-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on the Saturday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle was traveling southbound on the Broadway at about 6:20 a.m., when the vehicle struck a man who was crossing the westbound in a marked crosswalk at 49th Street.

Police said that, the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital, where he died. The coroner's office is expected to determine the person’s identity.

Man Charged For Crash Which Injured Four

On Sunday, LAPD Sgt. Barry Montgomery said that, "unfortunately, that (driver) failed to stop and render aid as required by law. We are actively seeking that individual."

According to the investigators, a surveillance camera at the nearby business captured the crash on a surveillance video, but a description of the suspect's vehicle was not immediately available to the officials.
