Mass shooting occurred in the Inland Regional center situated in San Bernardino  of California, during which at least 14 people were killed and 17 were left injured. The massacre took place in a conference room of the center, which assists people with developmental disabilities, when three heavily-armed gunmen opened fire.

According to the Police, a man, and a woman involved in the gun attack were killed in a shootout following mass attack.They identified the women (27) as Tashfeen Malik and the man as (28) Syed Rizwan Faroo. As per the family, they both are married.

Jarrod Burguan, Chief of San Bernardino Police Department, told reporters at a news conference that, “We have a domestic terrorist-type situation here. The suspects were armed with long guns. They came prepared to do what they did, as if they were on a mission.”

According to witnesses, three gunmen fled after the attack in a black SUV. Police and the suspects exchanged fire. During which one of the three shooters in the vehicle was shot dead.

Sergeant Vicki Cervantes of San Bernardino Police said to reporters that, “I know there is an active scene, there were shots fired and a suspect is down.”

It was later tweeted by Burguan that: “Suspects are down, one officer wounded. Details still unfolding.” Residents near to the locality were warned to stay back in their homes.

US President Barack Obama said in an interview to CBS news that every mass shooting can’t be stoped by the new laws, but can “improve the odds they don’t happen as frequently”.

The United States of America has a method of mass shooting that doesn’t match with anyplace throughout the world, said Obama.

According to FBI, it was not clear till now, if the mass shooting was a “terrorist incident”.
