Samsung's Galaxy S26 series is set to be introduced early next year, expected to include a standard model, a Plus version, and an Ultra variant. Before the official announcement, a reliable source has shared important details about the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+. This leak outlines how the new versions will differ from the Galaxy S25 models. It is reported that both the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will have some improvements compared to the earlier models. The Galaxy S26 is anticipated to come with a larger screen and a more powerful battery than the Galaxy S25. The source @UniverseIce shared two comparison charts on X, highlighting the main differences and similarities between the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S25, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S25+. It seems both new models will keep similar rear camera setups, RAM, refresh rates, and peak brightness levels as their earlier counterparts.

The new Samsung Galaxy S26 is expected to sport a 6.3-inch display, slightly bigger than the 6.2-inch screen on the Galaxy S25. It should maintain the same full-HD+ resolution, peak brightness of 2,600 nits, and a dynamic refresh rate that varies from 1Hz to 120Hz, just like its predecessor. The new model might come with either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the Exynos 2600 SoC, depending on the region. In contrast, Samsung used the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 in every market. The models for next year are likely to include 12GB of RAM, similar to the Galaxy S25 series. In a move like this year's base iPhone 17, the Galaxy S26 is expected to eliminate the 128GB storage option and only provide 256GB and 512GB storage versions.

The camera system in the Galaxy S26 is likely to be the same as that of the Galaxy S25, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 is expected to have a 12-megapixel front camera and support for 25W charging, similar to the earlier model. The battery is likely to increase in size to 4,300mAh from 4,000mAh. Its thickness could be around 6.9mm, and it may weigh 164g compared to the Galaxy S25's thickness of 7.2mm and weight of 162g. The chart provided by the source indicates that the Galaxy S26+ will be very much like the Galaxy S25+, with only slight differences. The new model is expected to come with a 6.7-inch QHD display, featuring 2,600 nits brightness and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is expected to offer 12GB RAM and storage options of both 256GB and 512GB, just like the current model.

The back camera setup of the Galaxy S26+ is expected to be the same, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It might also include a 12-megapixel front camera. The Galaxy S26+ is believed to come with a 4,900mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. While the Galaxy S25+ had the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, rumors suggest that the Galaxy S26+ might use either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the Exynos 2600 chip. The Galaxy S26+ is expected to weigh 190g, making it lighter than the Galaxy S25+ (194g), while still having the same thickness of 7.3mm.
