On Thursday, the Oppo F29 Pro 5G made its debut in India, accompanied by the Oppo F29 5G. These smartphones incorporate AI LinkBoost Technology and Hunter Antenna Architecture, designed to enhance signal reception. They are built with a 360-degree Armour Body and have attained military-grade MIL-STD-810H-2022 certification. These devices are also capable of underwater photography and hold IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The base model, Oppo F29 5G, utilizes a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, whereas the F29 Pro variant is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC. The pricing for the Oppo F29 5G starts at Rs. 23,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB option is available for Rs. 25,000. Currently, pre-orders can be placed through the Oppo India e-store, with deliveries expected to commence on March 27. Customers can choose from Glacier Blue and Solid Purple colors.

For the Oppo F29 Pro 5G, prices begin at Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. The 256GB storage versions are available for Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB and 12GB RAM options respectively. Pre-orders for this model are also open, with shipping scheduled to start on April 1. It can be purchased in Granite Black and Marble White finishes. Customers making transactions with SBI cards or credit cards from HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, and IDFC First Bank can benefit from up to 10 percent instant cashback. An additional 10 percent exchange bonus is also offered. Buyers can take advantage of zero down payment plans for up to eight months or no-cost EMI options extending for up to six months. In addition to the official site, both handsets will be available on Amazon and Flipkart.

The Oppo F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G come equipped with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, featuring a resolution of 1,080 x 2,412 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate up to 240Hz, a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The standard model's screen is safeguarded with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The Oppo F29 5G runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, while its Pro counterpart includes a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset. This series supports up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Both devices operate on ColorOS 15.0 based on Android 15.

For photography, both the Oppo F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G feature a 50-megapixel main rear camera, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The Pro version’s primary camera comes with optical image stabilization (OIS), while the base model is equipped with electronic image stabilization (EIS). Additionally, the Oppo F29 series supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second, along with an underwater photography mode.

The Oppo F29 5G series is reported to achieve certifications for dust and water resistance at IP66, IP68, and IP69 levels. Additionally, these devices possess certifications for drop resistance according to military-grade standard MIL-STD-810H-2022, along with 360-degree Armour Body protection. They feature AI LinkBoost Technology and Hunter Antenna Architecture to enhance signal strength. The Oppo F29 5G is equipped with a robust 6,500mAh battery supporting 45W SuperVOOC charging, while the F29 Pro contains a 6,000mAh battery compatible with 80W SuperVOOC charging capabilities. For security measures, both models utilize in-display fingerprint sensors. In terms of connectivity, they support 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, OTG, GPS, and USB Type-C interfaces.
